Re-Tech reaches new heights (literally) in the heart of Bristol
After seven successful editions, Re-Tech VIII took us to new heights at Bristol Beacon Tower. Perched on the terrace, with the city centre as our backdrop, this event proved that Re-Tech is still rising, in its eighth iteration.
What went down
As offices started closing, our doors swung open, and some eager guests started trickling in. As always, welcomed with open arms (and full glasses).
True to Re-Tech form, we brought a fresh lineup of speakers to the stage.
Opening the evening we had James Seymour from Gardiner and Theobald, who were also our sponsors for the evening. James spoke to us about their work growing the green economy in the South West and shared some great insight into some of their decarbonisation projects.

Next we had Rachel Breslin. Rachel shared some tips from her trade and pulled back the curtain on the all-important, but sometimes less understood Project Management aspect of the offshore wind industry. Thanks Rachel!
Rounding out our talks for the evening, it was high time our very own Stu Pringle delivered his own talk after convincing so many other people to take the Re-Tech stage. Stu walked us through the pitfalls of company presentations, why too many are boring and how to convince your buyers you are the “obviously awesome” choice for their business.
Good food, great people and a stunning new venue
Thanks to our caterers Sandwich Sandwich (of TikTok fame) and our gracious hosts Desklodge, for the use of their awesome terrace and help in welcoming everyone.
Night owls
As with every Re-Tech event, a hardy bunch of attendees kept the conversations going after the formal proceedings ended. Word on the street is that some made their way to other nearby establishments to continue on and let the Desklodge team lock up.
