The Renewables Technology Bristol meet up is back in Bristol for it’s twelth edition.
Doors open 17:30 at the roof terrace, DeskLodge, Beacon Tower.
There will be three short, informative, 15 minute talks from industry experts, each with their own set of experiences and ideas to share with you. Expect a first look at emerging tech, new-to-market products, and the ideas set to move the sector forward.

Neil Jelley
Portfolio Manager at Thrive Renewables
Neil joined Thrive in June 2024. His role as Portfolio Manager ensures Thrive’s renewable assets perform to their potential. He’s passionate about renewable energy, sustainability and working with local communities.
Having previously worked in the energy industry in New Zealand, Neil brings more than 20 years’ experience in optimising renewable assets with roles in innovation, operations and asset management.
Tim Warren
Operations Director at Blackfish Engineering
Tim is co-founder and operations director at Blackfish Engineering, based in Bristol. Tim has over 25 years of experience of product innovation and technology development in offshore renewables, marine engineering and aerospace.
Tim has led numerous projects in wave, tidal and wind sectors, as well as leading the development of the Blackfish C-Dart quick mooring connection system and Offshore vessel charging projects.
Abi Shepherd
Ops Manager at Make the Break
Abi is Ops Manager at Make the Break, the renewables-focused BD and marketing consultancy behind Re-Tech. She keeps client projects running smoothly, works across content production, and business strategy, and plays a key role in helping renewable energy companies sharpen how they go to market.
With a career spanning ecommerce, corporate volunteering, creator merchandise and events, Abi brings a wide toolkit and a genuine passion for doing good through the work she does.

What’s Gone before…
We’ve been doing this for a while now. Previous Re-Tech meet ups have seen over 100 awesome people in attendance. We run these as informal evenings, a chance to meet new people and share ideas. Come along, we don’t bite!
