Big thanks to our sponsor

The first ever Re-Tech Glasgow is being supported by Bitbloom.

Bitbloom are a team of experts who provide a range of proprietary software and services for data analytics, scientific computation and application development in renewables. Not only are they sponsor but they are kindly hosting the evening. Members of their team will be there on the evening so be sure to say hello and have a chat.

Speaking on the Night

Francesco Vanni

Francesco Vanni

Lead Due Diligence Engineer

Francesco is a Lead Engineer at SSER. His is responsible for co-ordinating Engineering technical assessments of onshore renewable projects in the acquisitions area. Francesco has experience across the design, development and operations of renewables and has led large teams in EMEA and the US.

With a background in aerospace engineering and time in academia, Francesco has considerable experience to draw upon.

Francesco’s talk will take a look at what he has learned on his journey from consultancy side to developer. Spoiler alert… what the two sides focus on doesn’t quite line up. Why is it like this?

Michael is co-founder at Bitbloom, our hosts for the night in Glasgow. Bitbloom is on a mission to harness data & AI to help the world produce more green energy.

Michael is a software engineer and a stubborn optimist, who believes in the profound and transformative power of people and technology to build a brighter future.

As co-founder, Michael is now leading a fast-growing success story. We’ve persuaded him to take some time out and share insights on his professional journey so far.

Michael will be taking a shot at one of the hot topics right now – AI – but it won’t be what you expect. Perhaps the machines are not going to take over quite yet.

Claire is going to share some super valuable intel for anyone who is (or is considering) going for funding. Hear what to do and what not to do.
